Ever heard of this myth that you can get the full Office suite, for free?
Well, if you're a student at the right university. Then it's not a myth! It's actually true!
I will in this short post go through what it is and how you get it (or make your school get it)
What you get
Alright, let's first talk about all the awesome stuff that you get from the Student Advantage program.
Programs
First of, you get the WHOLE Office 365 ProPlus.
That is:
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- Outlook
- OneNote
- Publisher
- Access
- Lync
And aaaall of this, can be installed on up to 5 units! (except Windows Phones, you can add how many windows phones you want!)
Storage
You also kinda get 1TB of storage!
That's like... ONE TERRABYTE!
Or...
How to get
Alright!
So this is the deal from microsoft
"any institution worldwide that licenses Office 365 ProPlus or Office Professional Plus for staff and faculty can provide access to Office 365 ProPlus for students at no additional cost."
This means:
If your school buys Office for the staff/teachers. Then EVERY student can get Office for FREE...
This is good, this is reaally good!
If you don't know how to do it, ask the IT department how to Download office for free.
Make noize
If they don't know what your're talking about (maybe saying things like... "I think you called the wrong number" or "we don't do that...") ask them if the teachers get Office and if they do the school only needs to say hi to Microsoft and ask: "Hi, we would like Office for free to our students. How do we activate?"
And it will all be awesome :)
Because free is awesome :)
Good luck!
Hope your school likes to give free office to it's students :)
